What is Baptiste Power Vinyasa Yoga?
Baptiste Power Vinyasa Yoga is relevant and accessible. Vinyasa yoga links movements with breath to create heat and flexibility, but provides more than just a physical strengthening.

From
Baron Baptiste's website:
"This method is a dynamic combination of precise education, intuitive discovery, profound knowledge and experiential practices that results in transforming limitations into power. Those engaged in this process become empowered to overcome the barriers that stand in the way of allowing themselves to revolutionize their body, their emotions, their relationships and their ability to serve the greater good. No other process utilizes so many tools to tap into one's hidden potential for achieving authentic personal power and living an extraordinary life."

How do I get started?
The best way to get started with yoga is to dive in! Pick an All Levels or Power Basics class from our schedule and show up. We recommend that new students pace themselves and not worry about "getting it." We offer new students unlimited yoga specials so that you can practice several times to create a solid foundation. Bring your spirit to class and let it shine!

Bring your mat and a towel, or rent them from the studio. We also provide a filtered water station and sell water and Gatorade. You will sweat during this practice, so we have showers and changing rooms with locked storage if you need it.

Can I practice if I am pregnant?
Always check with a physician before starting a new physically challenging program. Baron Baptiste Power Vinyasa is accessible and can be modified for many situations. It is helpful to have a strong practice before becoming pregnant, as starting a new exercise program is not recommended. Lying on the stomach and inversions are contraindicated for pregnancy, so speak with an instructor before class for suggestions on alternatives.

What if I am not flexible?
Yoga is about opening up the body, but more importantly it's about opening up the mind. As you let go of tension, drop the need for a pose to look a certain way, and breathe, you will create more flexibility and range of motion. Our mission is a commitment to expanding physical and mental limitations, one class at a time.
