Before helping our guests alone, you are provided with full training. At the end of the training, you are certified by our trainer as ready to serve. Trainings will take place one Saturday of the month. You will then shadow your trainer for two shifts before being approved to serve. Throughout your time as a Y1 volunteer, you will have one on one check-ins with the Volunteer Coordinator or other staff to provide clarity on any issues that may be arising during your shifts and as a way for volunteers to feel supported by y1 staff.

Expectations:

At Yoga One we believe in ‘living at cause, rather than effect’. Before each shift, take a second to set an intention. What are you living at cause for? You may be asked by teachers or staff what your intention is for that shift and what you are living at cause for. We believe that possibilities are limitless when you back your actions with strong intentions. No cell phones or personal e-mail during your shift.

If you can not work your schedule shift, please let Megan know 24 hours in advance. While we do not believe in busy work, Yoga One is growing and there is always something to be done.
