Explore the food in your life, the life in your food
Everything about your asana practice depends on the condition of your cells. Food is fuel for cells and impacts how you feel, how you look, even how you act. Food is nourishment and should be consumed with this intention in mind, not to fill your belly and get rid of hunger sensations. On Saturday August 2nd, after practicing a vigorous power Vinyasa class you will prepare a delicious healthy lunch and learn how to eat more mindfully, savoring the power and the flavor of pure foods. After lunch we will discuss why a clean diet is paramount to a healthy BODY, MIND & SPIRIT.
We’ll learn more about why as living beings we need fats, carbohydrates and proteins to thrive. We’ll also learn about what we can live without. Experts might try pigeon holing most people by recommending a food pyramid method of balancing diet. We’ll explore the possibility that we’re each a little different and you can find the balance that is right for your own body. The right balance in your diet brings the right balance on your mat.
