TAI DORN

I first found yoga, or rather yoga first found me early on in my dance career. Finding ways to work kinesthetically while warming up many coaches would use yoga as a means of waking up the body before rehearsals and performances. Although my practice wasn't consistent, I always felt better when I finished. Not only was my body warm, but the mind and spirit had a warm up as well. As my career advanced and I took dancing to a professional level I began to feel that the mind and spirit were essential to my performance, whether it be in class or on stage.

Yoga lit the path on which I could continually grow and expand while exploring deeper levels on which to live. Although at the time unaware, I was planting seeds for many years which would lead me closer to the path of yoga. Integrating itself more and more into my life those around me could see a transformation that I thought was only visible on the inside. It was and is a beautiful experience to find yourself digging deeper and deeper into the rabbit hole and finding the ability to surprise yourself.

Still dancing professionally I incorporate yoga into my daily life. Not only do I feed the physical body but I fuel the spiritual as well. I completed my teacher training at Yoga One in the Fall of 2008 and am so grateful for the loving family I am surrounded by daily here at Yoga One. I am honored to be teaching in such a wonderful enviornment.
